Privacy and security
Privacy is built into the design
Maskaroo was built for people who talk as an alter ego, so we keep what we know about guests to a minimum.
- Voices change on the guest’s device, so the real voice stays there.
- Answers, votes and conversations live only in the room while it’s open.
- Guests join with just a nickname.
- Hosts can remove an unwelcome guest from the room for a few minutes.
- We sign a data processing agreement (DPA) on request.

FAQ
Questions organisers ask
Is the content appropriate for work?
Yes. Company events use work-safe question decks. The 18+ games are separate and only a host can start them. Maskaroo is for people 18 and over.
How do guests join?
With the QR code or link in any phone or laptop browser. That’s all it takes.
Do we play at tables or online?
Both. At tables, guests play on their phones, and a TV or projector makes it even more fun. Online, everyone joins from wherever they are, in their character voice.
What equipment do we need?
A phone or laptop for each guest. A TV or projector is a great extra at tables, and headphones help online.
Do you store answers or recordings?
No. Answers, recordings and names from games stay in the room while it’s open. Voices change on the guest’s device.
How do we pay?
By invoice in euros, due in 14 days. Venues can pay monthly and cancel any time, or yearly with two months free.
How is this different from a Party pass?
A Party pass covers one room for a private party. Company events add many tables under one code, your name on screen, an organiser view, an invoice and a DPA.
